Protests erupt outside Kasba Police station as 3 arrested in alleged Kolkata college gang rape
In Kolkata, a mini truck transporting bamboo overturned, causing a section of the bamboo to pierce through the window of a bus traveling on Route 12C/2 near Vidyasagar Park. The incident resulted in injuries to three passengers onboard the bus, who were promptly transported to Medical College Hospital for medical treatment. Simultaneously, the bamboo-laden vehicle also collided with a nearby book shop, further escalating the situation.
Reports indicate that the mini truck lost control, leading to the accident. Both drivers involved in the incident are currently under police custody. Authorities from Jorasanko Police Station and Sealdah Garden Traffic Sergeant swiftly responded to the scene, managing the situation and restoring normal traffic flow in the area.
